Corked Wine
Sometimes great wine backfires! On occasion (around 1% of bottles) wine can be affected by cork taint, when the harmless but unpleasant compound 'TCA' causes a dank aroma reminiscent of wet dog in the wine. If you bought wine from Archives and it turns out to be corked, please bring the bottle back full or nearly full, and we'll endeavour to replace it, or provide store credit of equal value.
Please bring your original receipt or proof of purchase to help us. If you've got an account with us, or provided your name at checkout, we can verify your purchase in our system.
For customers from further afield, you're welcome to ship corked wine (securely sealed) back to Archives at your expense, and we can provide replacement or equal value store credit, valid instore or online. Unfortunately, you will have to cover the cost of delivery/shipping for the replacement bottle. In future, we hope to have a better system in place, and appreciate your understanding.
A couple tips for storing wine; keep it sideways and at a stable temperature out of direct sunlight.
Returns
We endeavour to accept in-person returns of unopened shelf-stable bottles in good condition, within two weeks of purchase. At this time we cannot provide refunds, but will gladly provide store credit of equal value to the returned bottle. Please provide original receipt or proof of purchase.
Unfortunately we generally cannot accept returns on bottles that need refrigeration.
Online Order Cancellation
We work quickly to prepare online orders for delivery and shipping. If you'd like to cancel an order, please let us know as soon as possible. If you reach us before the bottle has left the shop, we can provide a refund less a 3% processing fee.
If your order has already left the shop, you are welcome to return the bottles by post or in-person, at your own expense. We will provide a store credit of equal value
